Mesocricotopus Brundin, 1956 View in CoL
The larvae of Mesocricotopus thienemanni (Goetghebuer, 1940) were collected in various streams and lakes along the Northern Coastal Plain of Alaska (AWQMS 2005). The larvae of this species inhabit the littoral to the profundal zones of oligotrophic and mesotrophic lakes (Andersen et al. 2013). Mesocricotopus larvae have also been found in sediment cores taken from Lone Spruce Pond in the Southwestern bioregion ( Kaufman et al. 2012).
