Tonnoiriella anderssoni ( Nielsen, 1965) View in CoL

( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 8–14 )

Pericoma anderssoni Nielsen, 1965 View in CoL : Opuscula Entomologica 30: 145.

Tonnoiriella anderssoni View in CoL ; Ježek 1999: Časopis Národniho muzea Řada přirodovědná 168: 17.

Material: 1♂, holotype, slide mounted; left side white label: Pericoma anderssoni n.sp. ♂, holotype bon; small green label MZIU 2018 038; right side white label: SK. Kullaberg Bäcken vid Ransvik 7 june 1963, H. Andersson leg.; small white label with red left margin: MZIU Type no 5831:1 .

Description: Head round, eyebridge of 3 facet rows; distance between eyes 5 facet diameters; behind eyes 5–6 postocular bristles. Palpus segments—absolute length: 0.060-0.090-0.100- mm; relative length 30-45-50- apical segment missing. Absolute length of antennomeres: 0.040-0.048-0.050-0.050-0.048-0.048-0.048-0.050-0.050- 0.050-0.040-0.036-0.038-0.024- 0.024-0.036 mm; relative length: 20-24-25-25-24-24-24-25-25-25- 20-18-19-12 - 12-18. Flagellomeres 5–11 with a pair of digitiform curved ascoids in the distal third.

Wing translucent with opaque spots, 2.96 times longer than wide; length 2.11 mm, width 0.71 mm.

Male terminalia with hypandrium broadened in the middle to a nose about 2.5x the width of the hypandrium ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 8–14 ). Gonocoxites approximately 2.2x longer than wide slightly bent; inner side with basal hook-shaped broadening with a group of 6 longer setae, at about middle with a single seta longer than gonocoxite; gonostylus almost straight, about as long as gonocoxite.

Parameres with a broad ventral bridge, ventral lobes reach almost middle of gonocoxite. Further features not clearly discernable due to the preparation of the specimen, but seemingly similar in structure to T. pulchra .

Basiphallus bilobed, ventral lobe bifid, shorter part connected to the distiphallus, longer part slightly bent with blunt tip; distiphallus a specifically shaped cross sclerite, but because the sclerite is turned to an almost vertical posi- tion its contours cannot be described properly. The dorsal arm of the basiphallus distally with a sickle-shaped end, with lateral apical folding on one side.

Epandrium rhomboid, epandrial processes almost straight, apically with 12 feathered tenacula.

Distribution: Sweden (elsewhere in Scandinavia?)

Remarks: In contrast to the original description the tip of an antenna with the apical segments lies apart from the other body parts on the slide, obviously belonging to the specimen. The apical palpus segment was not found. The ventral part of the distiphallus sclerite is bent to an almost vertical position, so that its shape is not exactly visible. Further, due to mounting, parameres and basiphallus are not properly visible; however, as the basic structure is similar to T. pulchra , there are no obviuous differences in structure of genitalia. The shape of the median hypandrium is specific so that T. anderssoni can easily be distinguished from T. pulchra .
