Remarks. Cyphoserica was grouped by Brenske (1898) in the same couplet with two other genera, Emphania Blanchard, 1850 and Euphoresia (in Brenske 1898: unavailable name), while it was not mentioned elsewhere nor in association with any species name. Thus, the genus name became available only after Brenske (1900a) properly diagnosed it in a key.
