Material examined. New Caledonia. Ricaudy Reef, ZRC 2006.0090 (9 males, 3 females, 1 ovigerous female). Distribution. New Caledonia, shallow reef.

Remarks. New material from the type locality was examined. The species shares with M. minutus two subterminal teeth on the pereopodal dactyli; M. filholi and M. lucasi have one.
