Buchwaldoboletus View in CoL View at ENA , typified by B. lignicola View in CoL , is mainly characterized by its saprotrophic and lignicolous lifestyle, a dry, pulverulent to tomentose pileus, yellow to golden hymenophore changing blue when injured, and an interwoven pileipellis ( Pilát 1969; Ortiz-Santana and Both 2011; Wu et al. 2016). Until now, two species, viz. B. lignicola View in CoL and B. xylophilus View in CoL have been confirmed to occur in China ( Wu et al. 2016; Xie et al. 2021).
