Known distribution. Brazil (states of Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Rio Grande do Sul).
Diagnosis and remarks. Heteragrion consors is close morphologically to H. cauei , sharing the large upper plate on ML. It can be separated from the latter by the shape of upper and lower plates and secondarily by body coloration patterns. The following character combination distinguishes this species from the remainder of Group A species: upper plate roughly triangular ( Fig. 25c View FIGURE 25 ), subequal in size and shape with lower plate ( Figs. 25c–e View FIGURE 25 ), bearing a posterior row of teeth and an anterior depression ( Fig. 25e View FIGURE 25 ). Here we report its first record from Minas Gerais state.
