DISTRIBUTION. — Global distribution: widely distributed through East Africa, Réunion to the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia, live in 1100-2350 m, mostly below 1800 m, shells from 700 m. Distribution in the New Caledonian region: Loyalty Basin, live in 1100-2350 m .
