Material examined. 1 ♀, with van Lennep label ‘ No. 48. PANOPE Cr. IV. 295. E. F.’ ( BMNH (E)#665045) is quite a good match for original plate 258, figs C, C; it has numerous pinholes in the wings; the thorax has been extensively damaged and may have been re-pinned .
Identity. Chilasa (s.s.) clytia (Linnaeus, 1758). [ C. panope Linnaeus, 1758 , is a junior subjective synonym.]
