15. Demeijerella catharota ( Meyrick, 1928)

Statherotis catharota Meyrick, 1928: 443 . Type locality: India.

Specimens examined. [ CHINA] Sichuan Prov.: 3♂, 1♀, Zhongfeng Temple (29.57°N, 103.40°E), Mt. Emei , 731 m, 19.VII.2021, leg. Ruiqin Dong.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 4B ). Ovipositor lobes subtriangular. Anterior apophyses a little longer than posterior apophyses. Sterigma weakly sclerotized, two small, slender and thin, petal-like lobes, finely spinulose. Ductus bursae membranous, granulated just below ostium, remainder weakly sclerotized and smooth except for a large, folded, somewhat funnel-shaped sclerite just before entrance into bursa, ductus seminalis from anterior part of this sclerite of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae large, ovate, finely granulated; two signa, equal in size, rounded triangular, with a gently arched ridge posteriorly.

Distribution. China (Sichuan, Taiwan), Japan, Thailand, India.

Remarks. In China, previously Liu & Li (2002) and Heppner (2012) recorded D. catharota from Sichuan and Taiwan respectively. In the present study, we found its female for the first time. The female is similar to the male externally, and there are no distinct differences observed in the wing patterns between the female and the males.
