Distribution in mainland China: GS ( Liu 2010).
Other distribution. India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan ( Liu & Beaver 2018).
Biology. A polyphagous species common in dry branches and small stems of numerous species ( Beeson & Bhatia 1937). The species was found attacking a cut sapling of Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr. (Fabaceae) in Chiang Mai together with Sinoxylon anale ( Beaver et al. 2011) .
