Distribution in mainland China: GD, SN, YN ( Chu & Zhang 1997).
Other distribution. Madagascar, Indian Ocean islands, India, Nepal, Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Mariana Is., Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia in the Western Pacific, Arabian Peninsula, Socotra Island ( Yemen), South Africa (Natal), Israel, Europe, USA, Africa, Australia (Liu 2021).
Biology. The species is polyphagous and has usually been collected from forests or orchards, and not lumber yards, timber processing premises or wooden items (Liu 2021). Liu (2021) reported more details of the life cycle and host plants.
