Distribution in China. Beijing, Fujian, Gansu, Guandong, Guanxi, Hebei, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Shandong, Taiwan, Yunnan ( Huang 1987; Hua 2002).
Other distribution. Japan, Korea. Introduced into USA. ( Borowski & Węgrzynowicz 2007; Park et al. 2015).
Host plants. Zelkova (Ulmaceae) is cited as a host by Hua (2002). Zhu et al. (2014) note that it has become a pest of Sophora japonica (Fabaceae) in several provinces, and predict its potential distribution in China.
