Luciola binhana Pic 1927 View in CoL
Luciola binhana Pic 1927: 37 View in CoL . McDermott 1966: 100. Ballantyne et al. 2016 Table 4 View TABLE 4 .
Type. VIETNAM (as Tonkin). Presumed male, fragmentary (part of head, antennae and two legs only). Labelled : 1 handwritten ‘ Hoa Binh’; 2 handwritten ‘type’; 3 printed on red label ‘type’; 4. Handwritten ‘ binhana s. sp.’ ( MNHN) .
Remarks. Pic described the species with yellowish pronotum and brown elytra with pale margins. He thought it resembled L. limbatipennis Pic. Nothing sufficiently distinctive about this colour pattern, nor the locality data, would permit an attempt to associate males.
