Type. AUSTRALIA (as Nouvelle Hollande). Not located in MNHN by LB in either 1993 nor 2013 .

Remarks. Described from Nouvelle Hollande ( Australia) with yellowish dorsum and black tipped elytra, the colour pattern approaches Aquilonia costata (Lea) and Luciola dejeani . The latter species was incorrectly recorded from Australia ( Ballantyne & Lambkin 2000: 73).
