Lithosia postmaculosa Matsumura, 1927 , Journal of the College of Agriculture, Hokkaido Imperial University, 19 (1): 66, pl. 5, fig. 9 ( Type locality: [ Taiwan, Nantou County, Meiyuan] Formosa , Baibara ).

Type material examined. Photograph of the holotype: female, “Baibara, Y. Saito Kikuchi” / “ Lithosia postmaculosa ” / red label “Type Matsumura” ( EIHU) .

Other material examined: long series of both sexes from Taoyuan, Pingtung, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Nantou, Ilan , Chiayi and Taipei Counties of Taiwan ( MWM / ZSM) .

Distribution. The species is endemic to Taiwan Island ( Fang 2000 partim; Chang 1989; Heppner 2012, as Eilema costipuncta postmaculosa ; Volynkin & Saldaitis 2021).
