Dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with anterolateral striae, 312 (300–320) long and 203 (175–220) wide. Setal lengths: j1 28 (27–31), j3 19 (17–25), j4 8 (7–9), j5 8 (7–9), j6 10 (9–11), J2 11 (9–13), J5 6 (4–7), z2 13 (11–15), z4 15 (10–18), z5 9 (8–10), Z1 11 (10–12), Z4 11 (9–13), Z5 55 (50–60), s4 22 (18–26), S2 13 (12–17), S4 15 (13–18), S5 16 (13–20), r3 14 (12–15) and R1 10 (9–15). Peritreme extending to level between j3 and z2. Distances between st1–st3 57 (51–63), st2–st2 66 (62–70), st5–st5 70 (62–74). Ventrianal shield 95 (90–100) long, 54 (51–60) wide at level of Zv2 and 65 (64–72) at anus level. Spermathecal calyx tubular, 19 (15–20) long; atrium inconspicuous. Fixed cheliceral digit 23 (23–25) long, with three teeth; movable digit 23 (21–25) long, with two teeth. Macrosetae on legs I–IV, macrosetae of leg IV slight capitate; SgeI 24 (23–25), SgeII 23 (20–25), SgeIII 26 (22–28), SgeIV 36 (32–40), StiIII 21 (18–24), StiIV 27 (26–31) and StIV 49 (46–51) .

Distribution elsewhere. Argentina, Azores, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and USA.
Remarks. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the original description of E. mesembrinus and to the redescription of the same species by Lopes et al. (2015).
