Specimens measured. AL, MG, PE, RS, SC (1, 3, 2, 1, 1).
Dorsal shield of female reticulate, 340 (330–345) long and 165 (155–180) wide. Setal lengths: j1 25 (22–27), j3 46 (44–50), j4 41 (38–45), j5 43 (39–47), j6 54 (53–58), J2 57 (52–61), J5 12 (10–15), z2 47 (43–50), z4 50 (44–61), z5 42 (40–46), Z1 54 (50–60), Z4 77 (70–81), Z5 76 (63–80), s4 56 (48–64), S2 59 (58–63), S4 46 (36–50), S5 40 (38–44), r3 39 (35–41) and R1 35 (34–40). Peritreme extending forward almost to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 62 (60–63), st2–st2 59 (55–60), st5–st5 61 (59–63). Ventrianal shield 118 (110–132) long, 91 (88–99) wide at level of Zv2 and 83 (73–90) wide at anus level. Spermathecal calyx saccular, 18 (16–20) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 23 (23–24) long, with seven teeth; movable digit 25 long, with three teeth. Macroseta only on basitarsus IV, sharp-tipped; StIV 61 (58–65) .

(Ferla & Moraes, 2002a; Daud & Feres, 2013), Minas Gerais ( Moraes et al., 1990; Rezende & Lofego, 2012), Paraná ( Flechtmann, 1967d; Denmark & Muma, 1973; Furtado et al., 2006; Hata et al., 2022), Pernambuco ( Moraes & Oliveira, 1982; Braun et al., 1993; Vasconcelos et al., 2006), Rio Grande do Sul ( Furtado et al., 2006; Ferla et al., 2007, 2011; Roggia et al., 2009; Klock et al., 2011; Reichert et al., 2014; Toldi et al., 2021a, b), Santa Catarina ( Furtado et al., 2006) and São Paulo ( Flechtmann, 1967a, d; Denmark & Muma, 1973; Gondim Jr. & Moraes, 2001; Bellini et al., 2005 a, 2005b; Lofego et al., 2009; Baldo et al., 2018; Barroso et al., 2019).
Distribution elsewhere. Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Saint Barthelemy and Venezuela.
Remarks. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to the redescription by Schicha & Elshafie (1980), except that the spermathecal calyx is about 1.5 longer in the specimens examined.
