Type species. Ragusaseius ferraguti Kreiter , in Kreiter & Tixier, 2010: 199.
Main distinguishing characteristics. Dorsal shield reticulate anteriad S4, with scant striae posteriorly. Idiosomal setal pattern 10A:11C/JV-3:ZV (J3 and J4 present); dorsal shield setae, as well as r3 and R1 , of about uniform lengths, longer than distance to closest setae (J3–J5 shorter) and serrate. Sternal shield with posterior margin concave. Ventrianal shield vase-shaped in general appearance and eroded irregularly at anterior end, but usually encompassing Jv 2 and, in some specimens, also Zv 2. Spermathecal calyx cup-shaped. Fixed and movable cheliceral digits with seven and three teeth, respectively. Macrosetae present only on leg IV, slightly capitate. Male ventrianal shield with three pairs of pre-anal setae; spermadactyl type heel-and-toe, with reduced heel (mentioned as L-shaped by Kreiter & Tixier, 2010) .
Remarks. This monospecific genus was described from Brazil. It is known only from the type specimens, reported from plants.
