Amblyseius duckei Nuvoloni, Lofego, Rezende & Feres ( Figure 16)
Amblyseius duckei Nuvoloni et al., 2015b: 191 .
According to Nuvoloni et al. (2015b), dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with scant anterolateral striae, 292 (288–294) long and 192 (187–192) wide. Setal lengths: j1 18 (16–18), j3 28 (23–28), j4 4 (4–5), j5 5, j6 6 (5–7), J2 6 (5–6), J5 6 (6–7), z2 12 (11–12), z4 10 (10–11), z5 7 (5–7), Z1 7 (6–8), Z4 55 (47–58), Z5 70 (70–75), s4 38 (37–40), S2 7 (7–9), S4 6 (5–7), S5 5 (5–6), r3 12 (10–12) and R1 9 (7–9). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 52 (51–55), st2–st2 62 (62–64), st5–st5 59 (59–64). Ventrianal shield 101 (98–101) long, 75 (75–77) wide at level of Zv2 and 71 (69–71) at anus level. Spermathecal calyx funnel-shaped, 30 (26–30) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 28 long, with 10–12 teeth; movable digit 26–27 long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 26 (25–30), SgeII 24 (23–25), SgeIII 27 (25–27), SgeIV 42 (42–46), StiIII 25 (24–25), StiIV 23 (23–25) and StIV 49 (47–51) .
Distribution in Brazil. Acre ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b) and Amazonas ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b).
Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. Also recently collected by P.R. Demite (unpublished data) in the state of Amazonas. A re-examination of the chelicera of type specimens showed that the correct number of teeth on the fixed digit should be about nine, instead of two, mentioned in the original description. In the newly collected specimens, the number was 10–12. Chant & McMurtry (2004a) cited only three species of this genus with less than less than six teeth on the fixed digit.
