According to Denmark & Muma (1989), dorsal shield of female smooth, 355 long and 235 wide. Setal lengths: j1 24–26, j3 34–35, j4 10, j5 10, j6 10, J2 10, J5 8, z2 14, z4 11, z5 10, Z1 11, Z4 56, Z5 195, s4 56, S2 13, S4 12 , S5
11, r3 17 and R1 12. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Shape of spermatheca unknown. Fixed cheliceral digit with 10–11 teeth; movable digit with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped (length of macrosetae of legs I-III not provided); SgeIV 105, StiIV 66 and StIV 56.
Distribution in Brazil. São Paulo ( Denmark & Muma, 1973).
Distribution elsewhere. Jamaica and Mexico.
Remarks. Additional specimens were not examined. As nothing is known about the shape of the spermatheca of A. megaporos , this species is not included in the key later provided in this publication.
