According to Furtado et al. (2005), dorsal shield of female smooth, 335–337 long and 210–220 wide. Setal lengths: j1 30, j3 48–50, j4 8, j5 5, j6 5, J2 5–7, J5 8, z2 10–12, z4 10–12, z5 5, Z1 8–10, Z4 90–92, Z5 175–187, s4 88–90, S2 8 –10, S4 8, S5 8, r3 20–22 and R1 8. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 55–65, st2–st2 70–75, st5–st5 65–70. Ventrianal shield 112–115 long, 62–82 wide at level of Zv2 and 68–72 wide at anus level .
Spermathecal calyx bell-shaped, 9 long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 27 long, with 12 teeth; movable digit 30 long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 35, SgeII 32–35, SgeIII 37–40, SgeIV 70–75, StiIII 28, StiIV 40–45 and StIV 58–68.
Distribution in Brazil. Ceará ( Furtado et al., 2005) and Rio Grande do Norte ( Furtado et al., 2005).
Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil and known only from the type specimens. This species is very similar to A. chiapensis , the only difference appearing to be the difference in the length of the spermathecal calyx. More detailed investigations may show that they are synonyms.
