Tribe Euseiini
Main distinguishing characteristics. Posterior margin of sternal shield with a median lobe (often inconspicuous, because of the light sclerotisation). Ventrianal shield usually vase-shaped; pre-anal setae usually in about a transverse line (not in Ricoseius De Leon).
Remarks. Chant & McMurtry (2005b) divided this tribe in three subtribes, including the following genera in each: Euseiina Chant & McMurtry ( Euseius Wainstein , Iphiseius Berlese and Moraeseius Chant & McMurtry ), Ricoseiina Chant & McMurtry ( Ricoseius De Leon) and Typhlodromalina Chant & McMurtry ( Amblydromalus Chant & McMurtry , Prasadromalus Chant & McMurtry , Quadromalus Moraes et al. , Tenuisternum Fiaboe et al. , Typhlodromalus Muma and Ueckermannia Chant & McMurtry ). The same subtribes and genera were maintained by Chant & McMurtry (2007) within Euseiini . Each subtribe of Euseiini reported from Brazil include only species of the following genera: Euseiina ( Euseius and Iphiseius , but see remarks about Iphiseius later in this publication), Ricoseiina ( Ricoseius ) and Typhlodromalina ( Amblydromalus , Tenuisternum and Typhlodromalus ).
