Specimens measured. BA, MA, SP (1, 3, 1).
Dorsal shield of female smooth, 313 (302–328) long and 223 (209–305) wide. Setal lengths: j1 23 (20–25), j3 24 (23–25), j4 5 (4–6), j5 5 (4–5), j6 7 (7–10), J5 9 (8–10), z2 11 (10–14), z4 10 (8–11), z5 5 (4–6), Z1 7 (6–9), Z4 95 (87–97), Z5 147 (133–164), s4 72 (71–74), S2 9 (8–10), S4 10 (8–11), S5 8 (7–8), r3 17 (14–20) and R1 9 (8–11). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 59 (57–63), st2–st2 68 (68–69), st5–st5 64 (61–68). Ventrianal shield 103 (99–108) long, 86 (85–88) wide at level of Zv2 and 72 (71–75) at anus level. Spermathecal calyx trumpet-shaped, but inflate next to atrium, 67 (50–85) long; bifurcate at juncture with major duct. Fixed cheliceral digit 31 (30–31) long, with ten teeth; movable digit 33 long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs II–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeII 23 (20–25), SgeIII 21 (17–24), SgeIV 56 (51–58), StiIII 17, StiIV 35 (34–37) and StIV 51 (42–56) .
Distribution in Brazil. Amazonas ( Ferreira et al., 2018), Bahia ( Souza et al., 2015), Maranhão ( Moraes et al., 1993), Piauí ( Moraes et al., 1993) and São Paulo (Castro & Moraes, 2010; Moraes et al., 2013).
Distribution elsewhere. Colombia and Guadeloupe.
Remarks. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the original description, except that specimens from Maranh„o have spermathecal calyx approximately 1.5 times longer.
