Specimens measured. SC, SP (2, 1).
Dorsal shield of female smooth, 502 (450–512) long and 328 (310–347) wide. Setal lengths: j1 32 (27–38), j3 110 (108–113), j4 3, j5 3, j6 4 (5–3), J5 5 (5–6), z2 24 (21–28), z4 45 (37–50), z5 4 (5–3), Z1 4 (4–5), Z4 137 (127–148), Z5 137 (128–146), s4 136 (125–146), S2 7 (6–8), S4 5 (4–5), S5 5 (4–5), r3 15 (12–18) and R1 9 (8–10). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 60 (55–62), st2–st2 77 (70–85), st5–st5 120 (122–127). Ventrianal shield 124 (122–127) long, 138 (120–155) wide at level of Zv2 and 112 (100–124) at anus level. calyx saccular, flaring near vesicle, 26 (23–24) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 39 long, with five teeth; movable digit 44 long, toothless. Macrosetae on legs II–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeII 25 (22–28), SgeIII 32 (26–39), SgeIV 67 (47–79), StiIII 34 (29–39), StiIV 48 (35–58) and StIV 58 (52–52) .

Amazonas ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b), Bahia ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015a; Souza et al., 2015), Espírito Santo ( El-Banhawy, 1984), Goiás ( Rezende & Lofego, 2011, 2012), Mato Grosso ( Demite et al., 2009), Minas Gerais (Silva et al., 2010; Rezende & Lofego, 2012), Paraná ( Hata et al., 2022), Rio de Janeiro ( Cavalcante et al., 2021), Rio Grande do Sul ( Mecke et al., 2000; Eichelberger et al., 2011; Silva et al., 2020), Roraima (Gondim Jr. & Moraes, 2012), Santa Catarina ( Fenilli & Flechtmann, 1990) and São Paulo ( Feres & Moraes, 1998; Gondim Jr. & Moraes, 2001; Zacarias & Moraes, 2001a; Buosi et al., 2006; Mineiro et al., 2006a, 2008, 2009a; Feres et al., 2007; Lofego et al., 2007; Castro & Moraes, 2010; Demite et al., 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015; Rezende & Lofego, 2012; Moraes et al., 2013).
Distribution elsewhere. Colombia and Peru.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The specimen examined in this study are similar to the measurements of the holotype by Moraes et al. (1991).
