Specimens measured. RS, SP (2, 4).
Dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with scant anterolateral striae, 404 (341–450) long and 328 (300–375) wide. Setal lengths: j1 25 (22–28), j3 29 (24–35), j4 4 (3–5), j5 4 (3–5), j6 4 (3–5), J2 4 (3–5), J5 5 (3–6), z2 4 (3–5), z4 4 (3–5), z5 4 (3–5), Z1 4 (3–5), Z4 142 (122–159), Z5 207 (178–220), s4 138 (130–156), S2 4 (3–5), S4 4 (3–5), S5 4 (3–5), r3 7 (5–12) and R1 6 (5–10). Peritreme extending to level between j1 and j3. Distances between st1–st3 61 (54–63), st2–st2 79 (73–85), st5–st5 103 (95–112). Ventrianal shield 137 (120–143) long, 158 (137–168) wide at level of Zv2 and 115 (90–132) at anus level. With two pairs of metapodal plates. Spermathecal calyx saccular, 15 (12–18) long, about twice as long as diameter next to vesicle; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 35 (33–37) long, with 10–11 teeth; movable digit 31 (30–33) long, with three teeth. Macrosetae on legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 68 (54–75), SgeII 42 (32–45), SgeIII 63 (46–70), SgeIV 123 (112–133), StiIII 35 (24–46), StiIV 82 (68–88) and StIV 46 (37–51) .
Distribution in Brazil. Bahia ( Lawson-Balagbo et al., 2008), Ceará ( Lawson-Balagbo et al., 2008), Rio Grande do Sul ( Ferla et al., 2005, 2011; Morais et al., 2007; Gonçalves et al., 2013; Rocha et al., 2015; Silva et al., 2020) and São Paulo ( Denmark & Muma, 1973; Gondim Jr. & Moraes, 2001; Zacarias & Moraes, 2001a; Castro & Moraes, 2010; Parecis-Siva et al., 2016; Baldo et al., 2018; Mineiro & Raga, 2020).
Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the original description and to the redescription by Denmark & Muma (1989).
