Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Samin et al. 2011).
General distribution. Southern Europe, North Africa, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Turkmenistan. Biology. Despite its specific name, this species develops on species of Consolida (Ranunculaceae) and Teucrium (Lamiaceae) , and not Delphinium (Ranunculaceae) ( Mandelshtam et al. 2012). The larvae cause the development of galls on the stems of the host plant close to the petioles ( Korotyaev et al. 2005).
