Type: — TANZANIA. Kigoma District, 22 km N of Nguruka, Kitolo , 6 October 1949, Princess Windisch-Graetz in Bally 7625 (holotype K000306816 !) .
Etymology: —The specific epithet honors Charles Jeffrey (1934–) for his tremendous contributions to the taxonomy of the family Asteraceae .
