Lectotype (Simpson in Woodson & Schery in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 62: 1278. 1975): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 995.5 ( LINN) .

Current name: Chaptalia nutans (L.) Pol. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Moore (in Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 7: 280. 1936) noted the existence of 995.5 (LINN) but did not designate a type. The eventual type choice is discussed in more detail by Nesom (in Phytologia 78: 162. 1995).
