Genus Pavania Lombardini, 1949

Type species: Pavania fusiformis Lombardini, 1949

Amended description. Adult female: as in Hajiqanbar and Khaustov (2010), also prodorsum with 3 or 4 pairs of setae (v 1, v 2, sc 1 and sc 2), sometimes sc 1 absent; sc 1, if present, as seta-like or capitate trichobothria. The genus Pavania is divided into three species groups:

Pavania fusiformis species group: prodorsum with 3 pairs of setae (v 1, v 2, and sc 2) and one pair of capitate trichobothria (sc 1).

Pavania gymnopleuri species group: prodorsum with 3 pairs of setae (v 1, v 2, and sc 2), trichobothria (sc 1) absent. Pavania setiformis species group: prodorsum with 4 pairs of setae (v 1, v 2, sc 1 and sc 2), sc 1 setiform.
