DISTRIBUTION: Japan, except Hokkaido; Kansu to Yunnan ( China).

COMMENT: Includes xanthotis, which was considered a separate species by McKenna, 1962, Am. Mus. Novit., 2104:1-38; see Corbet, 1978:86.
