Anthomyia imbrida Rondani, 1866 View in CoL View at ENA

Michelsen, 1978; 1 ♀ ( MZUF: Box 25): Anthomyia Mgn / imbrida Rnd. , ♀, Parma / 1368 / ♀ / paralectotype ♀, Anthomyia imbrida Rond., 1866 , desig. V. Rondani, scatola n° 6, posiz. E-9 / Museo di Storia Naturale Università di Pisa, Calci (PI) ex collezione Rondani.
CURRENT STATUS: valid species ( Dely-Draskovits 1993: 21, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 5).
REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 148) described both sexes of Anthomyia imbrida from an unspecified number of specimens. Michelsen (1980a: 283) designated a lectotype (♂) and paralectotypes (2 ♂♂, 1 ♀) without mentioning a fourth male, but labeling all of them as paralectotypes. We are unable to single out the two males designated as paralectotypes by Michelsen and consider the three males as paralectotypes. Michelsen (1980a: 283) did not mention an additional two males in the MSNC (both of these additional specimens are paralectotypes).
