Anthomyia digitaria Rondani, 1866 View in CoL
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866a: 146 (key), 152 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle ditionis parmensis [ Parmese hill ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MZUF: Box 26): Anthomyia Mgn / digitaria Rndn. / 1375.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Pegomya winthemi ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Dely-Draskovits 1993: 88, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 8).
REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 152) described Anthomyia digitaria from a single female: “ Foemina … in exemplare a me observato [female … in the specimen I observed]”. The male numbered “1375” next to the type is not a syntype but instead a later addition as Rondani (1877c: 163) stated: “ Unicam faeminam, et unicum marem in collibus subapenninis parmensibus legi ” [I collected a single female and a single male in Parma’s sub-Apennine hills]. Hennig (1973b: 675) incorrectly reported the number of this specimen as “1371”.
