[= Apennines] / Coll. Rondani, scatola n° 6, posiz. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Hydrophoria ruralis ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Dely-Draskovits 1993: 63, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 7).

REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 141) described both sexes of Hydrophoria anthomyea from an unspecified number of specimens. Five syntypes were found in this study. The males and the female in the MZUF have different identification numbers.
