CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Fannia lepida (Wiedemann, 1817) View in CoL ( Pont 1986a: 49, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 9).
REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 130) described both sexes of Homalomya triangulifera : “… lecta in collibus et montuosis agri parmensis …. Florentiae quoque capta a D. Piccioli [collected in collibus et montuosis agri parmensi … Also collected in Florence by Mr. Piccioli]. We found four syntypes in this study. Hennig (1961: 226) reported four males and three females in the MRSN but we did not find them. An additional MZUF male numbered “1339” is not included in the type series because its label is yellowish rather than the greenish color of Rondani’s original handwritten ones and is in a lower row in the Box, for which reason we treat it to be a subsequent addition. This nominal species was described under the generic name Homalomya , which is an “unjustified emendation of Homalomyia Bouché, 1834 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 97) and that Rondani (1866a: 123; 1877c: 42) considered as a senior synonym of Myantha Rondani, 1856 .
