ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875c: 429.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Insula Bonae Fortunae (Borneo) , Provincia Sarawak [ Bona Fortuna Island , Sarawak Province, Borneo]” ( Rondani 1875c: 421) .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype ( MSNG): Sarawak / Typus / muscina Rond. / Stomorhyna muscina n° 19.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Stomorhina discolor ( Fabricius, 1794) ( James 1977: 555) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1875c: 429) described Stomorhyna muscina from just the male sex, giving a single measurement of length, from material collected by G. Doria and O. Beccari. Guiglia (1957: 196) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 33) reported the holotype (♂) in the MSNG. Rondani described this nominal species under the generic name Stomorhyna , which is an “unjustified emendation of Stomorhina Rondani 1861 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 173).
