ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875c: 432.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Insula Bonae Fortunae (Borneo) , Provincia Sarawak [ Bona Fortuna Island , Sarawak Province, Borneo]” ( Rondani 1875c: 421) .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MSNG): Sarawak / Typus / Elachigaster albitarsis Rond. / Elachigaster albitarsis n° 24.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Pterogenia niveitarsis (Bigot, 1859) ( Steyskal 1977e: 159) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1875c: 432) described Elachigaster albitarsis from just the male sex, without specifying the exact number of specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material collected by G. Doria and O. Beccari. Guiglia (1957: 195) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 46) reported the holotype (♀) in the MSNG.
