ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1861b: 213 (key), 217 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Germania [ Germany]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype (slightly covered by mold) ( MZUF: Box 17): Alophora Desv. / orthoptera Rndn., Germ. [= Germany] / 929.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Phasia hemiptera ( Fabricius, 1794) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 410) .
REMARKS: Rondani (1861b: 217) described Alophora orthoptera from a single male: “ Unicum exemplar … misit Clar. De-Roser [Mr. von Roser sent a single specimen]”.
