Plistonax antonkozlovi Santos-Silva, Nascimento & Silva Júnior, 2020 View in CoL ( Fig. 10d View Fig )
Plistonax antonkozlovi Santos-Silva et al. (2020b): 547 View in CoL View Cited Treatment , figs. 17–24.
Type locality: holotype (male) – Panama, Ngöbe-Buglé, La Verrugosa, Fortuna Cabins ( MZSP) ( Fig. 10d View Fig ) .
Diagnosis. Elytron with median-basal crest straight, short, occupying about 1/4 elytral surface ( Fig. 1e View Fig ); elytral punctures with two types of semierect setae inserted internally: one dark-brown and very slim, and one white more thick ( Fig. 10d View Fig ).

Distribution. Panama [Ngöbe-Buglé] (Fig. S4a).
Remarks. This recently described species has some unique features in Plistonax ( Santos-Silva et al. 2020b) . The internal semierect setae in the elytral punctures are dimorphic only in this species and a single specimen of P. rafaeli . However, in the latter species, there is dimorphism only in coloration, not in shape. P. antonkozlovi shares with P. albolinitus , P. inopinatus , and P. senecauxi the elytral apex rounded and males with tubercles on the inner surface of antennomeres. Together with P. ariasi , this is the only species of Plistonax recorded from Central America.
