When in doubt about the group affiliation of male specimens, explore the keys to the species in the tetricus and angustiarum groups of the Holarctic clade ( Bennett et al. 2016) and the key to species in the adenes group of the Californian clade ( Bennett et al. 2019) or consider one of the four other Californian clade species groups ( consocius , devius , septatus , and tardatus groups) discussed by Bennett (1991) and Copley et. al. (2009).
