Macropes dilutus Distant, 1901 View in CoL New record to China

( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G; 3B, G)

Macropes dilutus Distant, 1901 , Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 8, 467.

The specimens we examined from China are a somewhat different from those distributed in Sri Lanka as described in Slater et al. (1969). The basal brown area and the central dark macula of membrane separated by a broad, pale, lunate vitta (diffuse pale spots in center and adjacent to apex of corium described in Slater et al. [1969]). Antennal segment II and distal segment I flavescent (segment I and base of segment II flavescent described in Slater et al. [1969]). Distance apex corium–apex abdomen 2.10 (this distance was recorded as 1.22 in Slater et al. [1969], but both the distances of apex clavus–apex corium to apex corium–apex abdomen [0.87: 1.22] and apex corium–apex abdomen to body length [1.22: 5.66] mentioned in the text were not quite in accord with Fig. 6 of Slater et al. [1969]; therefore, we thought 1.22 may be not correct.) The pygophore opening and paramere are as in Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 , G.
