Treatment

In his checklist of the Latridiidae and Merophysiinae of the world, Rücker (2020: 34) included a species from Guatemala, which he named as “ Cholovocera atomarioides Champion, 1913 ”. Considering that on the following page of the same checklist, Rücker (2020: 35) listed Pseudevolocera atomarioides Champion, 1913 , with exactly the same location, we believe that it was an involuntary error to associate this species with the genus Cholovocera , a generic combination not found in any other publication.
