Distribution: Semicosmopolitan.

Records in Mexico: Hidalgo, Quintana Roo and Aguascalientes

Biogeographic province: Sierra Madre Oriental. Yucatan Peninsula. Chihuahuan Desert.

Habitat: Leaf litter ( Pinus cembroides ). Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Organic matter ( Aquila chrysaetos canadensis nests). Leaf litter under trees and bushes in a secondary semi-evergreen tropical forest.
