Euryparyphes Fischer, 1853 , Orthoptera Europaea , 454 pp. Leipzig. Type-species: Porthetis terrulenta Serville, 1838 . Eurapius Stal 1876a: 30 (Kirby, 1910: 353).
Type species: Pamphagus bolivari: Stal, 1876 .
Diagnosis: Genitalia: Supra-anal plate elongate-angular, much longer than wide, apex elongate, obtuse-angular, cercus short, wide, one and a half times as long as wide, apex obtuse (fig. 4A). Subgenital plate (fig. 4B), posterior margin serrated, with deep notch on each side of egg-guide, without setae; egg-guide short, broad, obtuse-angular. Spermatheca (fig. 4C) with a single long, coiled and tubular diverticulum. Ovipositor (fig. 4D) valves elongate, robust, curved, longer than lateral apodeme, dorsal valve long, broad, slightly less than four times as long as wide, apical tip long and subacute, external edge slightly serrated, dorsal condyle prominent; ventral valve with slope slightly concave, apical tip long and pointed, mesial tooth absent, basal sclerite wide, without serration; mesial valve dilated with long and obtuse apical tip.
This genus is represented by a single species from Fezzan.
