Tarisa virescens Herrich-Schaeffer, 1851
Tarisa virescens Herrich-Schaeffer, 1851: 348 ; Odontotarsus notoceras Kolenati, 1857: 497 ; Tarisa virescens var. obtutior Reuter, 1901: 33 .
Distribution in Iran. Kermanshah ( Sakenin et al. 2010; Samin et al. 2011a), Khorasan, Tehran ( Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).
General distribution. Russia (southern teritories), Caucasus and Central Asia, Near East.
Host plant. On Artemisia sp. ( Asteraceae ) ( Linnavuori 2008).
Comments. Péricart (2010) considered T. osmanica Hoberlandt (1956) as a synonym of this species (but not Rider 2006); we do not know osmanica so we conserve Rider’s (2006) statement.
