Note. Blackwelder (1945) cited C. longicornis from United States and Mexico. According to Ślipiński (1989), “Grouvelle in his original description reported this species from Deyrolle and Mniszech collections, ‘3 ex, du Mexique et du Texas’. Two specimens, from Texas and Cordova, are still in the Grouvelle collection in MNHN, and the lectotype is selected from the syntype series, although their localities seems to erroneous”. Cordova is an ancient spelling of Córdoba, and the specimen with this label was selected as lectotype ( Ślipiński 1989). Coincidentally, one specimen from Córdoba with an identification label by Grouvelle was found in the Bruch collection at MACN.
