Demothispa nevermanni Uhmann, 1930: 214 (type locality: ‘ Hamburg-Farm, Reventazon, Ebene Limon, Costa Rica’ after introduction chapter; ST in SDEI, USNM).
Remarks. This species was transfered to Stilpnaspis by STAINES (2009). I did not examine its type, but based on the original description, I think it is congeneric with Demotispa . Distibution. Costa Rica: Limón ( UHMANN 1930).
