Lectotype (Reveal in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 78. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 1033.1 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Polymnia Linnaeus.

Current name: Polymnia canadensis L. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Wells (in Brittonia 17: 149. 1965) quoted the protologue and suggested that a type was “probably” in LINN, but this is insufficiently precise to be accepted as a formal typification.
