Distributed from Mexico and Puerto Rico to Ecuador ( Esaki 1926a; Drake & Harris 1937; Kenaga 1941; Drake & Hottes 1951a; Drake & Maldonado-Capriles 1954; Aristizábal 2002; Molano et al. 2005, 2008; Posso & González 2008; Morales & Castro 2010; Buzzetti & Cianferoni 2011), but not previously recorded from Costa Rica. We did not collect T. ujhelyii ; however, some specimens were previously deposited in the collections studied. They were collected on the Caribbean slope of Costa Rica, in elevations up to 500 m a.s.l.

Material examined. Limón— EARTH Univ., Mercedes Stream, Dos Novillos, <100 m a.s.l., 24.IV.2005, (D. Vásquez): 1 male, 1 female ( MZUCR). Heredia —Braulio Carrillo National Park, Sardinalito, X 257500, Y531,200, 360– 500 m a.s.l., X.1989, (R. Aguilar & M. Zumbado): 1 female (InBio).
