Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Specimens of this species have frequently been confused with concava, mordax , and Lionycteris spurrelli ; see Taddei et al. (1978) and Koopman (1978 b).
