Meurgey (2013) provides a catalogue of the odonates of the Caribbean. For the island of Puerto Rico, adjacent to St. Thomas, Ramírez et al. (2020) provide updated lists of species. Erythemis credula (Hagen, 1861) was originally described from Brazil and St. Thomas; however, the St. Thomas record is almost certainly an error ( Donnelly 2002). Enallagma civile (Hagen, 1861) is known throughout the Greater Antilles, with records in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas ( Medina Gaud and Martorell 1974; Westfall and May 1996; Donnelly 2002; Meurgey 2013). The large Anax junius (Drury, 1773) was reported from St. Thomas and St. John by Klotz (1932) but has not been reported since. Donnelly (2002) reports or compiles records of Dythemis rufinervis (Burmeister, 1839) , Pantala flavescens (Fabricius, 1798) , and Tramea onusta Hagen, 1861 from St. Thomas and St. John. Klotz (1932) gives records of Erythrodiplax justiniana (Selys in Sagra, 1857) from St. Thomas, and Whitehouse (1939) reported Pantala hymenaea (Say, 1840) from St. John.
